Decorative Art

Give me a mirror, and I’ll start
The act of decorative art
With pots and paints and pencils
And brushes as utensils.

Light make-up spread with fingertips,
A little ruby to the lips
Deep black to lids and lashes
Grey gloss, a few, few dashes.

A touch of rouge on either cheek
The hair with lotion smart and sleek
And for the nails a garnish
of shiny red hot varnish.

Some powder of the faintest hue
As final finish when I’m through.
And presently you see
A work of art that’s me!
